Welcome!

Hello and Welcome to my new blog! I am so excited to start this journey with you all! I have recently decided to dedicate my life to my own health and wellness and thought, “Why not share it with others?”. That is exactly what I will be doing with this blog. From simple shake recipes to skincare, I will be sharing my journey with you. Without further ado, let’s get started and ” To Health With It” all!

Keep Going!

Here is your daily reminder, that great things take time! Not one of us is perfect, and it takes a few stumbles before we get it totally right. AND THAT’S OKAY! The important thing is that we keep pushing forward and continue rising to new heights. Whether it be in our career, our diets, or just making it through another day; we must press on. Remain dedicated to the change you want to see in your life, because I promise you, it will be worth it! Forgive yourself for your mistakes and any set backs and get back on track. No one else is going to do it for you and no one else has anything to lose if you give up… but you do. Forget the nay sayers and anyone who attempts to knock you down. Remember, YOU GOT THIS! IT’S ALL YOU! So stay dedicated! It’s not going to happen overnight, and that’s perfectly fine. Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

10 Tips To Stay Healthy Through The Holidays

The holiday season is upon us and that means treats and germs galore. Gathering closely with friends and family makes it easier for germs to spread and everyone has their “holiday specialty” dessert or appetizer. It’s no wonder many of us end up sick and gaining weight this time of year. I decided to compile a list of tips to keep you healthy inside and out this holiday season.

Here’s a list of TEN tips to keep you healthy during this holidays this year:

1.) Don’t Stop MOVING. I know this sounds like a no brainer, but as the holiday grows nearer, our plans seem to multiply. There are parties, family and friends to visit with, and even work gatherings. Being so busy can really put a damper on us being active. Whether you’re walking through the mall or taking a brisk walk after a few too many cookies, it’s very important to remember yourself and your health.

2.) Stay Hydrated. Another obvious way to stay healthy is to drink plenty of water. Not only will it keep you looking and feeling great, it will also keep you feeling full so as not to over indulge on the sweets and treats. Find a festive water bottle you can carry around with you this holiday season.

3.) Make a Plan. To keep yourself on track, write out all of the events you plan to attend during the holidays. Then schedule yourself some time to keep up with your workout regimen and even try to plan out your meals. When you have a plan and put it on paper, you are far more likely to stick to it than if you just decided to wing it.

4.) Eat a Healthy Meal First. Before attending a gathering or party where you know there is sure to be a surplus of sugary treats, eat a full healthy meal. Not only will you be eating cleaner, you will likely be too full to eat too many sweets at the party.

5.) Stay Rested. I know the holidays bring on lots of stress and it can be difficult to get enough sleep. But your body detoxes while you sleep so the more rest you give it, the healthier you will be. Trust me on this one… YA NEED TO SLEEP!

6.) Take it Easy on the Booze. Especially the fancy festive cocktails. Most of them contain just as much sugar as the desserts, if not more! Also, the more you imbibe, the more likely you are to make poor choices when it comes to food. So drink responsibly and keep it simple.

7.) Start a Healthy Holiday Tradition. Perhaps there is an annual race your family can participate in, or even attempt a family workout in the basement together. Maybe you start your mornings off with a family walk or holiday veggie juice shots. Whatever it may be, create a new tradition to keep you on the right track during the holiday season.

8.) It’s About People. NOT FOOD! Remember, the holiday season is about being near to those we love and care for. It’s not about all of the food and treats.

9.) Forgive Yourself. Pobody’s Nerfect! Don’t beat yourself up for indulging in a few holiday treats. Forgive yourself and just try to make better choices the rest of the time.

10.) Take and Immunity Booster. We are gathering awfully closely to our loved ones and we are sharing more than cheer! Germs are being passed back and forth whether we want to admit it or not. There is always one sick person in the room who doesn’t want to admit they are actually sick. Taking an Antioxidant and Immunity Booster will help to stave off illness causing germs. I swear by this Immunity Booster! The last time illness ran rampant through my home, this kept me from being the only one who wasn’t taken completely out by the sickness!

I hope these tips help to keep you healthy this season, and enjoy your holidays!! Leave a comment below mentioning your favorite tip or even a healthy holiday tradition you would like to start or one you may already have!
